The eXTREMESLAND 2018 Asia Finals will kick off on Thursday, with 15 teams vying for their share of a $100,000 prize pool.

Running until Sunday, the third edition of the event will see teams hailing from different Asian countries battle it out in Shanghai, China, for the grand prize of $40,000.

With Royal Bandits pulling out due to visa issues, only 15 squads will compete at the tournament, with Group D reduced to just three teams.

Summer's Flash will try to defend their eXTREMESLAND title

Flash, who have been drawn into Group B, are the reigning champions of the event, while MVP PK are the highest-ranked team in attendance. Among the other participants are the likes of Chiefs, 5POWER and BOOT-d[S].

The group stage will be played in a GSL format, with best-of-one matches in the opening and winners' clashes, and best-of-three series in the elimination and decider games. The top two teams from each group will then advance to the single-elimination, best-of-three playoffs.
